His way of language is based on “ Dao”. He regarded “Dao” as the source of being and the root of system of values of the real world. By this foundation, he further explored the connection among human beings, society and nature. Jueng-dz’s attitude toward language is not just the simple description of still state, but from exploring the beginning of the connection between dao and speech,he proposed a series of related concepts on the function of language and how to make effective use of it . “ Dao couldn’t be described. If it was described, it didn’t name dao”, Jueng-dz said. He also said, “ the ultimate dao couldn’t name, and the true argument couldn’t speak.” However, if dao doesn’t be speak, it can’t be grasped. For solving the difficulty between dao and speech, Jueng-dz created a kind of way of “ speech which seemed not to speak.” The way is a kind of one which speaks according to the principle of dao absolutely.” Namely, it is the way without any subjective prejudice. “Describing or expressing dao by orthers “ is the way of speech which Jueng-dz expressed “ dao couldn’t be spoken or described.” The way which Jueng-dz expressed dao by others can be summarized four points: “ to speak or express dao by three kinds of languages”, “ to speak or express dao by the speech which seems not to speak” , “to speak or express dao by the realm of realization”, and “ to speak or express dao by deducing from reason.” Although Jueng-dz created a kind of “speech based on the principle of dao”, after all, it was still a kind of language. Language always can’t describe or express dao entirely. This is Jueng-dz’s theory of “language can’t describe the meaning of dao entirely.” Jueng-dz perceived the problem. Thus, he propounded the theory which one has to put the language away as soon as he grasps the meaning of dao. Where linguistic philosophy is concerned, “the meaning of dao can’t be described entirely by language” points out the difficulty of linguistic expression , and “ one has to put language away as soon as he grasps the meaning of dao ” is the way which compensates or surpasses the difficulty of linguistic expression. “putting language away” aims to eliminate every speaking action in order to go into the realm of “speechlessness”. From the problem of way of language of “ dao can’t be described”, the surpassing way of speech of “ dao can’t be spoken ” to the pattern of way of language of “one has to put language away as soon as he grasps the meaning of dao ”. Jueng-dz fulfilled the surpassing realm of “what he talks about can get the meaning of dao as soon as one speaks ”, and obtained the absolute freedom of the spirit.
