Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 物理學系 === 94 === The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect on 10th grade students’ academic achievements and their attitude in learning optics topics, such as colors, rainbow effects, and other applications, via using Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI). The study was designed with the standard experimental method, and the samples were selected from two classes in the same school, “convenient samples”, and divided into Experiment Group (with CAI) and Control Group (with traditional teaching method) with the same Pre-test & Post-test. The study tools included: (1) the questionnaires about the concept of optics topics for the pre-test and post-test and (2) the questionnaires for evaluating the attitude and interest in learning physic. The students in the experiment group had two additional questionnaires which are (3) Computer Attitudes Scale (CAS) and (4) Computer Assisted Software Evaluations. In addition to the quantitative analysis, four interviews from selected students from the experimental group were attached for qualitative analysis. The results show that there is no significant difference in the students’ academic achievements between these two groups; however, the experimental group showed more interest on study than the control group. The scores on ‘Cognition’ and ‘Application’ topics showed there is no significant difference between the two groups, but the experimental group did much better on ‘Comprehension’ topics. Gender and students’ Computer Attitudes and Learning Interests on Physics did not affect the academic achievement’ significantly. Moreover, more than 90% of students from experimental group showed their highly interesting in CAI method, and agreed the CAI method was helpful for their understanding in Physics concept.
