Moreover, the purpose of this study is to understand the parenting style and how their children feel about that, to compare the differences of different background variables, and to explore the relation between parenting style and the feeling of well-being for fifth and sixth graders in primary schools. The fifth and sixth graders in public primary schools in Kaohsiung and Kaohsiung County are the populations in this study. The sample is 795 fifth and sixth graders in primary schools. Compile and analyze these questionnaires with Descriptive Statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation. The major findings are: 1. The feeling of well-being of fifth and sixth graders in primary schools is above average. The first one of the well-being quantity is Interpersonal Relationship, the second is Contented Life, the rest is Self-confidence, and Physical and Mental Health. 2. Girl’s Interpersonal Relationship and Contented Life are greater than boy’s. 3. The children who live with father and mother are better than the others in the feeling of well-being. 4. The children whose families with high socioeconomic status are better than the others in the feeling of well-being. 5. Primary school senior students’ parents with different gender have different parenting style. Girl’s are greater than boy’ in the feeling of parenting style. 6. The children who live with father and mother are better than the others in the feeling of parenting style. 7. The children whose families with high socioeconomic status are better than the others in the feeling of parenting style. 8. The children whose parents with authoritative parenting style are better than the others in the feeling of well-being 9. Parenting style of primary school senior students’ parents have a striking relationship with the feeling of well-being of primary school senior students. Last but not least, provide this study as reference for family education organizations, school guidance, the related government apparatus, and the future study.
