The study used the quasi-experimental design and recruited sixty eight feminine undergraduates with dissatisfied of body image from three universities in Pingtung. Among the participants, thirty four students of the experiment group were treated with reality therapy group counseling once a week, for a total of seven times throughout the study. The other thirty four students of the control group received no treatment. The instruments of the study were consisted of three parts:The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ), Locus of Control Scale, and the Self-Esteem Scale. The researcher applied ANCOVA or Nonparametric Statistics to analyze the data from pre-test, post-test and follow-up test. The results from this study are as follows, 1. The reality therapy group counseling had significant guidance effect on 「MBSRQ」,「Appearance orientation」and 「Appearance evaluation」;and didn’t have significant guidance effect on「body area satisfication」,「locus of control」, and 「self esteem」 after counseling. 2. The reality therapy group counseling had significant guidance effect on 「MBSRQ」,;and didn’t have significant guidance effect on「Appearance orientation」, 「Appearance evaluation」,「body area satisfaction」,「locus of control」, and 「self esteem」 after long-term treatment. Reality therapy-oriented group counseling has the positive effects on the experimental members. The members hold the positive attitudes toward the overall activities of counseling from the feedbacks and interviews, and consider that the counseling provides help in enhancing their body image, locus of control, and self esteem. By the findings, this study proposed feasible suggestions on research and counseling practices in the future to serve as references. Yuan-yu Ting 丁原郁 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 163 zh-TW
