Forty-eight students (mean age 20.9±1.6 years, height 174.3±5.3 cm, weight 72.6±12.6 kg)were recruited as subjects from department of Physical Education of National Ping-Tung University. We used the equipment type number 1.5T Singa Cvi, GE Medical System MRI to process and analyze the left ventricular mass (LVM), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), end-systolic volumes (ESV), end-diastolic volumes (EDV), left ventricular wall thickness (LVWT). We took blood samples during the mornings to analyze the blood lipid profiles such as total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), etc. Pearson’s correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship among left ventricular structure, function and blood lipid profiles. We found that EDV (126.9±18.2 ml ), ESV (52.5±8.2 ml ), SV (74.4±13.6 ml), CO (4634.9±1220.7 ml), and EF was 58.4±4.7 %. There was significant correlation in EDV and SV (r= .34, p< .05). It matched with Frank-Starling Theory. We also found there were significant correlation in end-systolic medial wall thickness and SV (r=.47, p< .05), in End-systolic bass wall thickness and SV, CO (r= .53, r= .48, p< .05), this result matched with athletic heart theory. Additionally, there were no significant correlation (p> .05) in left cardiac structures and lipid, left cardiac functions and blood lipids. It might because of the subjects was health and regular exercise. Ray-Shing,Lin 林瑞興 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 37 zh-TW
