The TFT-LCD industry is blooming because of the enormous needs in living. It is a concerned focus by enterprises how to design more fit and cheap products in the strong market-competitive pressure environment. Hence, in spite of, TFT-LCD production management researches just start to attracted researchers’ eyes, a good production management is definitely needed. There are three implement process environments about TFT-LCD: 1. Array 2.Cell and 3. module. It is more complicated than other industries. Owing to those varied requirements by customers, it increases requirements for product and makes the schedules of production operations difficult. People usually must deal with the situation of changing order. But the solving way is still via the forward scheduling manually (eg. the EDD rule) to reschedule and makes production schedules lacking of their feasibility in production control. This research hopes developed a rapid and effective rescheduling module system to construct the field management model via those advantages of the DBR method as in the Theory of Constraints. This research utilizes DBR algorithm to be the kernel module of the one-line rescheduling process. This study combines the effective production concepts and production constraints to develop a dispatching procedure of the N-line production lines. It makes DBR scheduling more adequate for N-line production rescheduling operation. Furthermore, it applies the advantages of Buffers Management of Theory of Constraints to construct the field management structure with bottleneck shiftiness detection and refined operation. It can increase the oneness of whole production management research. A thorough case study is provided to demonstrate actual rescheduling process by applying DBR algorithm in order changing or machine failure that will cause the bottleneck shiftiness. In the mean time, the DBR will be compared with the Forward Scheduling. The study will then use simulation to compare DBR with Forward Scheduling by performance index in such as due date deviation, delay time, process time, and earliness…etc. After comparing DBR with Forward Scheduling, it is evident that DBR is better than Forward Scheduling. Especially the order delaying quantity of has 25% difference in a 95% production loading. This means DBR is a better method. In addition it is, not only DBR has more fast scheduling operation speed, but also it can offer information of emergency orders and delaying to manager. The result of rescheduling procedures is obviously better than and different from current ways.
