In 1980’s numerous post graduate Technology Management programs have been established in Europe and Northern America to cultivate the manager in this field. The universities keep modifying and adjusting those programs to meet the rapidly changing market. Taiwan has started to study on Technology Management recently; however, we still need to work harder to keep up the pace with the European and Northern American schools. Taiwan has been focusing on the developing of the masters programs; nevertheless, the relative studies on this subject are insufficient. This study applies Content Analysis to explore thoroughly the design of the master programs in western countries and Taiwan. According to the result of this study, the majority of the MOT programs in western countries and Taiwan are administered by business/ management schools. In Europe and North America the quantity of requirement courses and credits are more than Taiwan. In curriculum design emphasizing Finance&Accounting, Marketing, and Innovation & Technology Entrepreneurship. On the other hand, Majority faculty research areas in Economics, Marketing, Strategic Technology Management and Innovation Management. There are only a few Programs hired full-time faculty. In Taiwan, the requirement courses are still focusing on the Research Methods which is similar to the other discipline programs of post graduate in Taiwan. Most of the MOT programs in Taiwan are taught by the teacher who has engineering background.
