Literature review and study are the main research methods to collert data.Desuiptive statistics t-test,analysis of variance,cross-tab analysis are used to analyze the data. Conclusions and suggestions are as follows: 1. Conclusions: (1)Managers highly recognize the importance of the core competency However, the actual performance in every core competency item is bad. All performances show negative result. (2)There is significant difference in the core competency for managers from different age, education and management background. (3)Sigrificant differents are found on the cunent performance of euch core competency for leisure farms with different years after establiehment types of farms and operation methods. (4) Managers are willing to attend education or training courses and they expect agricultural agencies to host some short-term training courses. 2.Suggestions: (1)Managers should self-exam their core competency in every item, which can be the basis to join training courses. (2)Managers should focus their learning on the bad competency items and they should enhance web site learning method. (3)Agricultural agencies should provide more learning opportunities and organize workshops for managers to share experiences. (4)Agricultural agencies should provide more well-organized training courses and offer consulting sewices.
