The eco-organic tourism defined here is focused on using the traditional rice culture and semi-natural habitats to develop ecotourism activities; in particular, emphasizing organic farming with low environmental impact and environment protection of the farming village. In addition, these environmental-friendly activities are also aimed to develope landscape aesthetics, industrial culture, and ecological intelligence unique in rural areas. Chih-shang village in Tai-Dou County is chosen as an example to explain how eco-organic tourism can be planned in Taiwan. Then structure questionnaires are employed in this research. Students of higher grades in Taipei, Taoyuan, and Hsien-Chu counties are intentionally selected, with 31 schools chosen, 1170 copies of questionnaires distributed, 1071 questionnaires returned, finally. The results show that the school children’s basic attitudes toward their environment and their expectations about the activities vary significantly due to their differences in gender, regions, and age. In addition, no significant difference is found as regards to whether farmlands or orchards are nearby their homes, and whether their family members are engaged in farming or growing orchards. However, as for school children’s anticipation about the activities, it shows significant difference whether their family members are doing something related to farming or growing orchards. According to the findings of this study, it seems to indicate that some efforts should be made to improve northern Taiwan’s elementary school students’ basic attitudes toward their environment. Finally, the elementary school students’ needs of eco-organic tourism are also found among the sampling populations. Nae-Wen Kuo 郭乃文 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 111 zh-TW
