In additions, the author also tried to understand how the demographic variables such as gender, age, marital status , education levels, and working status influence adult students perceptions of career self-efficacy and career transition. Furthermore, we examined the regression relations of career self-efficacy on career transition for adult students. The theory basis and research structure of this study are constructed by related technical literature analysis. The instrument of questionnaire including Adult Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Adult Student Career Transition Scale. A survey of 596 adult students who is above 25 year-old taken from colleges in Taichung City, Taichung County, Nantou County, and Changhua County in Central Taiwan. Data obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way MANOVA, discriminant analysis, Pearson product-moment correlation , canonical correlation analysis and step-wise regression analysis.   Major findings of the study included: 1.The performance of career self-efficacy of adult students was approaching over the middle level. The highest performance to be identified was the intensity of confidence. 2.There were differences among gender, age, marital status ,and educational level in career self-efficacy, and the findings are statistically significant. 3.The performance of career transition of adult students is approaching over the middle level. The highest performance to be identified was the intensity of trust. 4.There was differences among age in career transition, and the findings were statistically significant. 5. There was significant canonical correlation between career self-efficacy and career transition of adult students. According to the findings, implications of these results were discussed and suggestions for future research.
