Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 數學教育學系 === 94 === The purposes of the research is to develop the Time Concept Teaching Tool which is apt for the first to fourth graders. The second purpose is to investigate the effects of integrating Information Technology with Time Concept teaching method whereby elementary third graders have to learn in mathematics. The research is carried out via quasi-experimental design. Research subjects are selected from two classes of third graders of an elementary school in Taichung county, they are divided into two groups, namely: experimental group and control group. The researcher applied Information Technology with Computer Animation Teaching Tool which is self- developed with Macromedia Flash MX 2004 software to teach experimental group. As for control group, the researcher taught time concept with the clock, the traditional teaching method. They are divided into six groups according to sex and mathematics test score, boys and girls and the student who’s mathematics test score ranked with percentile from high, middle to low and the pupils who are taught with Information Technology. The groups would take Time concept tests and be evaluated with SPSS10.0 software. According to the result which the third graders learnt using Time Concept, (1) There wasn’t any improvement for the student who scored higher math scores. As for the student who scored medium level, there was some improvement on the whole concept and application of Time. Furthermore, there is an obvious effect for the student who scored low level and have improvement on understanding part of Time Concept. (2) When Information Technology is integrated with teaching method, the boys showed significant improvement on the whole and understanding part of time concept than girls. (3) The girls were taught by using different methods and did not show much improvement. However, the boys had better improvements under Information Technology teaching method.
