Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 數學教育學系 === 94 === The main purpose of this research was to investigate the learning of mathematic area unit in group discussion by the software developed by researcher to assist the pupil of elementary schools. To establish the local area network in classroom, to communication teacher-student and student-student by client-server model, to learning in mathematics by group discussion model, to understand the learning of studying in concept of area. The experiment tool was ‘group discussion helper ’developed by the researcher, the purpose of this research was to investigate the learning of student by experiment control. The development of this research tool, quote the relevant the literature review, expect to apply to actual teaching, use to improve the benefit of teacher’s teaching and pupil’s learning. The materials collect and analysis that rely mainly on collecting student’s school grade material, prove that studies the effect of learning. Research subjects were five grade’s pupils in one elementary school in Taichung county, a total of 58 pupils, 29 pupils in experiment group, 29 pupils in control group. To process this study by Quasi-experiment research method, to analysis the data by t-tests, the results of this study are as follows: 1. The total score of experiment group student in ‘test of concept of area ’is the best, and the total score of control group student is the second. 2. The score of experiment group student by using ‘group discussion helper’ to process group discussion in ‘preliminary conception of area’ is the best, and the score of control group student is the second. 3. The score of experiment group student by using ‘group discussion helper’ to process group discussion in ‘conservation conception of area’ is the best, and the score of control group student is the second. 4. There are no significant distinctions among the score of experiment group student by using ‘group discussion helper’ to process group discussion in ‘measurement conception of area’, and the score of control group student. 5. There are no significant distinctions among the score of experiment group student by using ‘group discussion helper’ to process group discussion in ‘estimate conception of area’, and the score of control group student.
