Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 94 === The main purposes of this study are to investigate the level comprehension to legal knowledge and the tendency of legal attitudes for elementary school students, to make an in depth comparison of the difference between aboriginal and Hans children’s cognizance and behavior in different background variables and the correlation between legal knowledge and attitudes. In order to achieve the purposes of this study, the questionnaires have been used in this investigation. The research objects are the 5th and 6th grade elementary school students in Pingtung county. The methods of frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation are applied to analyze the data. The following findings are emerged from this study: A. The main sources of legal knowledge of elementary school students arranged in turn are from teacher, television programs, newspapers, and Internet. The main source of most students who got legal knowledge is from teacher. B. The average rate of correct in legal knowledge test is 59%, and the average score in legal attitudes score is 4.04. C. In legal knowledge, there are obvious differences among race, area, grade leval, students’ gender, the frequency of watching news and talk show, socio-economical status, the experience of leadership in the class, the impression of teachers, interpersonal relationships and ethnic identity except birth orders. D. In legal attitudes, there are obvious differences among race, area, grade leval, students’ gender, socio-economical status, the experience of leadership in the class, and ethnic identity except birth orders, the frequency of watching news and talk show, the impression of teachers and interpersonal relationships. E. Legal knowledge of elementary school students are positively correlated with legal attitudes.
