Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育經營與管理研究所碩士班 === 94 === Those who want to be a teacher of preschool education for special children, in addition to general knowledge of children education, must also be equipped with professional knowledge, skills and spirit. This research was conducted by both qualitative method of document study and a quantitative method of questionnaire study. The documents were used to analyze the preschool special education teacher cultivation system before the implementation of the new system and curriculum planning. The field study was to find out job satisfaction of special education teachers. The subjects were 112 interviewees in the area of Taipei city and Taipei county. The analysis was based on the 81 valid questionnaires received. The statistic methods include percentage, average and standard variation, one-way ANOVA, and t-test. Meanwhile semi-structured interviews were conducted to those who were willing to be interviewed so as to be able to better understand the teacher cultivation system before the implementation of the new one. and its curriculum for preschool special education teachers as well as their job satisfaction, and to understand difficulties encountered by those teachers and their expected solutions. The study has also made some suggestions for the reference to educational authorities, teacher cultivation institutes, preschool special education teachers and subsequent researchers. There are several findings in this study : In terms of a system, the cultivation system before the implementation of the new one for preschool special education in our country is relatively sound. However, it can proceed more systematically by thoroughly implementing an efficiency & responsibility policy so as to improve the quality of preschool special education teachers. In terms of implementation, there are curriculum plans for preschool special education teachers put forward by various institutions for cultivating teachers. However, some improvements are still needed in their implementation. For instance non-classified curriculum for preschool special education have not been worked out yet. There are some findings in the questionnaire research: Besides reasonable salary, those teachers are also very concerned about other benefits. Also, on one hand they were satisfied with the fact that the work itself could further enhance their capability, but on the other hand they felt the lack of supports and recognition from the public. On the whole, they were most satisfied with the relationship among their colleagues and they were most unsatisfied with the lack of promotion channels. Based on this study, some suggestions are made to both our education administration and our teachers’ training institutes. It is expected that for preschool special education our education administration can cultivate good quality teachers of next generation, step up functions of professional team cooperation, improve channels of teacher’s cultivation so as to strengthen professional knowledge, and give more support and recognition to teachers’ work. It is also expected that for our preschool special education, our teacher’s training institute can strengthen cultivation of teachers, step up non-classified curriculum, and work out teachers’ enhancement planning and its related measures.
