Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 環境生態研究所碩士班 === 94 === The purpose of this study is to explore the cognition and attitude of junior high school students toward avian flu. A judgment-based sampling method (e.g., a self-designed questionnaire) was used to measure students’ cognition and attitude of Tainan district. Collected data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation statistical methods. The study has the following results: (1)The improvement of the treatment cognition in infected patients is needed.(2)Most students have a positive attitude rather than panic when they face avian flu.(3)Students with better studies, proper and severe choose of epidemic prevention and domestic birds’ infection act ,have better performance in cognition and attitude. However, there is no difference between school scale and location ,family environment and residential type.(4)Parents with higher educational background like senior high or college have better performance in cognition and attitude than those of junior high or primary school.(5)Senior students have higher cognition than juniors, but 7thgraders have better attitude than 8thgraders. Students in Tainan city have higher cognition, while students in Tainan county agree with school’s teaching of method. Schoolboys are good in treatment of infected patients, while schoolgirls are alert and sensitive about avian flu. (6)Those that are seldom contact with avian have better knowledge, alertness and sensation about avian flu. Students who have no infected relatives are also better at alertness and sensation. Students who injected flu vaccine during last half year have better attitude, but worse cognition toward avian flu. (7)As for the source of avian flu information, students are mostly being affected by media, but parents and teachers have great influence on their cognition. Actually, TV commercial has nothing to do with raising students’ attitude.
