It was also intended to compare different perceptions of the current situation and the strategies of time management among junior high school physical education teachers with different backgrounds. Finally, it explored the relationships among individual background variables, the current situation and the strategies of time management. “The questionnaire of Junior High School Physical Education Teachers’ Time Management in Tainan” were administered to 282 junior high school physical education teachers in Tainan. Two hundred and one (85.53%) questionnaires were returned and 195 (97.02%) of them was valid. Descriptive statistics, One-way ANOVA and Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation were used to statistically analyze the survey data. The results revealed the following findings: (1) Teaching was the highest in the distribution of working hours; (2) The most interference factor of time management was “Do it personally” and the most difficult factor was “Too many incidents out of plan”; (3) The way of time management in common use was “Setting the due date” and the good time management strategy was “To finish everything before the due date”; (4) The administrative teachers’ working hours were more than the advisory teachers’ working hours and the part-time coaches’ working hours were more than those teachers who did not coach; (5) There was a significant negative relationship between teachers’ working hours and time stress management. Based on the above research results, this study suggest that junior high school physical education teachers should emphasize time management, lighten time pressure and promote professional effectiveness.
