The academic community has started to put emphasis on discovery of the connection between local development and cultural continuum; especially, the local cultural events have been emphasized more. In this study, the vitalized events in temples could best represent the local traditional culture, and issues about local development would be deeply evolved. For the purpose of the study in temple events, urban temples were chosen as a research focus in order to further discover, under the changes of urbanization and modernization, the process of traditional cultural events of spatial adhesion in cities. Not only did the writer observe the result of production of space, but also further inferred that the network mechanism was the cause of production of space. Thus, there was relationship between space and network. Besides aforementioned networks, this study was especially introducing actor-network theory (ANT) as a means of analyses. One of the ANT characteristics in social science studies was to break the thoughts of binary opposition, especially introducing often easily ignored “Nonhuman Factors” into networks. By doing so, it well fit the writer’s intent to highlight the gods as nonhuman characters that play an important role on the basis of network actions based on belief in gods’ miracles. As to the networks, the writer tried to concentrate on two parts: “Sub-network of System” and “Sub-network of Faith.” The former involved political powers of human factors; the latter was the network mechanism constructed by the faithful relationship between the gods and the believers. Last, the writer regarded the term “Myth-making Plan” as the effect of the combination of “Sub-network of System” and “Sub-network of Faith”, and considered “Myth-making Plan” managed through the temple organization to achieve the terminal goal of continued cultural faith. Due to the application of the ANT, observation of concrete events is necessary. Thus, the writer has focused on the analysis of the event 2006 Hsin-chuang Da Bai Bai to discuss the constructive process of celebration networks by executing “Myth-making Plan.” The value of the study has been applying the essence of systematization to discuss the order formation of the cultural space in temples, proceeding with spatial evidence of theoretical application, and hopefully the ANT would preliminarily construct the analytical approaches needed to explain the folk faith.
