碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 公共行政暨政策學系 === 93 === “Information education” has become an important part of public administration education, owing to the development of information technology and the government’s dependency on information technology. However, had the department of public administration adjusted its pace towards this trend? Through inspecting and analyzing the present curriculum of the department of public administration concerning information technology, this research hopes to get a better understanding of the inner and outer perspectives of today’s information technology education, and what should be carried on tomorrow. After data analysis and discussion, this research found out that the current curriculum used in our country for enhancing information technology knowledge is unevenly distributed, the contents are discrete, and the tuition work are divided. The suggestions adjusting the education of information technology in public administration are as following: the information curriculum should be categorized under general courses; consensus should be made on information tuition curriculums; and planning practical exercises related to information technology. By doing so, there will be more elite cultivated to serve the public, operating the whole system in a more organized way.
