碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 多媒體動畫藝術學系碩士班 === 95 === This 3D animation《More》describes the story of a girl separated from her mother. In the story, the girl persisted in the search for her mother and finally came to the revelation that her mother had chosen to express her love by leaving the girl so that the girl was able to become mature and independent. Therefore, the first part of the literature review in this thesis will take psychological view points of family bonds and personal growth to discuss the “elements” and “framework” of love and growth. The next part will talk about the symbolism that had an influence on the style of the animation. The following chapter provides examples of actual films to validate the perspective of growth and symbols. Lastly, the thesis will go into detail on the concept as well as the meanings that the artist is trying to express behind the idea and the logic of the animation. With the support of discussion on the symbolism of light and shadow used in the animation can be seen as the artist attempt to use the animation as a reflection on the relationship between growth and mother-daughter ties.
