network.The management system we proposed can be divided into two parts, the central system control, and the mobile embedded system. The central system control is served with a PC and central system control softwares. The mobile embedded system is combined with GSM/GPRS module, GPS receiver, and an ARM-based platform.
First, the mobile terminal revceives the satellite data by GPS receiver, and then transmits the positioning data to the central system control via GPRS network. The central system control orders and categorizes the received data. It then displays the positions of the vehicles and relative informations in real time by GIS (Geographic Information System) e-map system. With such a system, the manager can easily monitor and control and assign different tasks to any individual mobile in the whole fleet more efficiently and precisely.
