Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 93 === A power supply suitable for the electroluminescent display (ELD) is studied and implemented in this thesis. The main power circuit consists of a front-stage boost power factor corrector (PFC) and a post-stage half-bridge inverter to provide an output AC voltage with tunable frequencies. The controller is implemented using the 8051 microprocessor, which can effectively control the output frequency and thus change the brightness of the ELD. A multi-output flyback converter is adopted as the auxiliary power supply for driving the 8051 microprocessor and other IC’s. Also a brightness-feedback control circuit is proposed in this thesis. Because the brightness of the ELD changes with the frequency of the output AC voltage, the presented brightness-feedback circuit can adjust the output frequency to stabilize the brightness of the ELD at a specified level. Experimental results show that the implemented power supply is capable of driving the ELD and achieving the dimming function.
