Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 93 === In this thesis, a study of linear type multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber lasers in Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA) configuration is presented. Both the simulation and fabrication results are shown. We have fabricated six-wavelength fiber lasers with two output ports,OSA1 and OSA2. From OSA1, we can get the output power and signal/ASE ratio of -12.35dBm and 50dB, respectively. And from OSA2, output power and signal/ASE is -20.08dBm and 30dB, respectively. To increase the output power from OSA2, we use the MOPA length of 1.5m to achieve 7.52dB improvement in output power. Besides, we have also analyzed the MOPA effects on the output characteristics of OSA1. Moreover, simulation software is applied to test and verify our experiments. Our simulation results show almost the same features as our experiments in optical spectra and the MOPA effect. Finally, we utilizes delayed self-homodyne method to obtain the linewidth of 1.38MHz for our multiwavelength fiber laser.
