Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 應用化學研究所 === 94 === The formation of the structure of water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybrid resin made by the polyurethane ionomer reacted with respective styrene, methyl methacrylate and allyl glycidyl ether in the presence of other additives has been demonstrated by IR spectra. For the surface tension of water soluble PU/Styrene hybrid resin, it appeared to increase with increasing concentration of styrene and methyl methacrylate, respectively. This is because the hydrophobic adsorbed at the surface of the water became even more ordered. The experimental results showed that the viscosity of water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybrid resin appeared to increase with increasing concentration of styrene, methyl methacrylate and allyl glycidyl ether, respectively, as a result of increased free volume resulting from intermolecular interaction between hybrid resin molecules themselves and between hybrid resin molecules and water molecules as well. Experimental results also indicated that the respective tensile strength and elongation of the film made by water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybrid resin appeared to increase with an increase of styrene and methyl methacrylate concentration, respectively. It is because the interaction between water soluble polyurethane/acrylics molecules themselves may make the cross-linking capability of water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybrid resin become stronger. On the other hand, the tensile strength for the bilm made by the water soluble polyurethane/styrene hybrid resin appeared to decrease with increasing concentration of allyl glycidyl ether, as a result of intramolecular interaction of hybrid resin molecule itself.
