At each stage of the product life cycle, the possibility of negative influence on the environment needs to be taken into consideration, so that the problems of the environment and contamination can be actually solved. With the objective of decreasing the impact on environment to design a product, the damage to the ecological environment will thus be reduced. This study has applied “the 48 Engineering Parameters- TRIZ theory” and “the 40 Innovation Principles and Contradictory Matrix Table – TRIZ theory”; and has complied with “the principles of Green Design at each stage of the product life cycle” to establish a relation table of Green Design Parameters and the 48 Engineering Parameters. The relation table can direct the designing personnel to find the connection/relation between Design Parameters and Engineering Parameters. Using the already-learned Engineering Parameters and the designing personnel’s work experience, and choosing a needed Innovation Principles Table out of these three tables: (1)the Innovation Principles table intended to improve the engineering characteristics, (2)the Innovation Principles table intended to avoid the worsening of the engineering characteristics, (3)the Innovation Principles table for single engineering characteristics; and finding an Innovation Principles table which corresponds to the engineering parameters will facilitate the designing personnel to implement product green design improvement rapidly and efficiently. The exploration on “the Research & Development of product Green Design” provided by this study, with case analysis and confirmation, can provide green design principles for designing personnel, evaluate the impact of the product on the environment as soon as possible, eliminate the situation of the system contradiction, enhance the design of green environmental protection concept, and shorten the time in research and design.
