New concepts, processes and technologies dominate the present development of eco-innovative products, even the trend of future change. However, for a designer, or even a rookie designer, the eco-innovative product design task will often perplex him. For resolving the perplexity, the designer may need an efficient integrative process to accomplish the task. In order to reduce the impact of technology on the environment, the designer is always constantly seeking ways to improve the eco-innovative design process. However, many conflict design problems often perplex the designer, and he also often yields to the problems because he can not easily make breakthrough. In this study, the TRIZ tools are introduced into eco-innovative product design and new feasible problem-solving processes are constructed, which are based on TRIZ Su-Field analysis model and standard solutions. The Su-Field analysis model can assist designers to diagnose and solve most problems because it possesses an icon-and-symbol system and several transformation rules. Moreover, the standard solutions can provide more tangible inspiration, and some of them are selected and classified into several solution lists. The proposed processes could guide designers to build up a model of design problem through the Su-Field analysis modeling of object, and then to rearrange and derive the new developed model by the transformation rules, exam criteria or solution lists. Finally a new design prototype could come out from the inspiration. Some design cases, including a no-staple stapler and a shower drain successfully demonstrate that the proposed process is conducive to elevate the efficiency of development of eco-innovative products.
