Summary:碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 國際企業學系碩士班 === 94 === This study has collected inputs and outputs data form three telecommunications companies in Taiwan, and analyzed the operational efficiency by used Data Envelopment Analysis. Furthermore, this study examines the relationship between operational efficiency and technical innovation by using Mann Whitney U test. As this study indicated (1) the average overall technical efficiency of telecommunications companies in Taiwan is 85.5% and the remaining 14.5% still can be improved. The inefficiency comes from the scale. Therefore, if the overall efficiency in the telecommunications companies needs to be improved, it can focus on the scale. (2) All assets volume , reaserch outlay , employees’ qualities , the numbers of mobile phone users , and the benefits from bill of mobile phone , are obviously positive correction with the efficiency to operate a business. This study has shown that telecommunications companies in Taiwan have to have a positive and steady management in this four indicators .
