This study mainly investigates the position tracking within an indoor area by way of wireless local area network (WLAN). When any people or mobile objects equipped with a sensor, we can learn their positions by the system. We use the Ekahau software to carry out the position tracking. We install a hub and a number of access point in a room to establish an WLAN. In the room, any people or mobile objects with a Tag can be tracked by the software. We also record the resulting data and compare with the actual positions to check the system errors.
