Of the 7th Session
The electoral system is the foundation of the democracy and the core of operation for the democratic politics even more. With it, the electorate has a channel to elect the favorite one to express the partiality with the policy. Electoral system and election districting have a chose relationship with the political ecology and stability of National politics
The 7th term Legislators committee members of our country will be produced under a new system called “Single-Member-Districts System and Two-Votes System in 2007“ After this new system be implemented , how to redistrict the precinct ?and which authority will take charge of it ? All this would be the main point for political arena . After that, what kind political elect will bring? Will it change the electoral ecology that has now at home?
Since electoral districting determine the growth and decline of the political party, it remain to be the high controversial. It also has difficulty in practice. Therefore, whether success or not with this new electoral system in the future, related Authority will be the key point.
Besides, the simulator electoral districting of Taipei in this research is based on three kinds of different assumed conditions, with it to prove that precinct impact the election results.
