| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 應用語言文學研究所 === 94 === Mei Tsun was the most renowned poet among those poets in early Ching Dynasty. His unique achievements of poem were “gorgeous rhetoric”, “clever allusion”, “good to embed history into poem” and “vivid and novel description”, which ware current and also established Mei Tsun's importance in the history of poem. However, besides these characteristics above, the main reason that Mei Tsun's poems touched people’s hearts was the deep and strong “sorrow emotion”. Mei Tsun lived when the Ming and Ching dynastic changed. He was disappointed at the fatuous monarch and his subjects and the corrupt government in Ming. He was saddened from the wane of homeland when Ming ended. Then, he deeply regretted serving the opposite government through his whole life in Ching. These misfortunes and seeing many folk tragedies contributed to Mei Tsun's “sorrow emotion” and this kind of emotion contributed to those impressive and touching poems. The research of Mei Tsun's poem in terms of his “sorrow emotion” is presented, including the emotion expression, content and manners.
This theses contains seven chapters
Chapter One：Motive and purpose of this thesis. Confirmed scope and methods of this thesis. Briefly describe the editions and refernce of Mei Tsun poem collection.
Chapter Two：Describe the politics, society where Mei Tsun lived, his ancestors and friends he made with.
Chapter Three：Explain the meaning of the“Sorrow Emotion”in Mei Tsun's poem, then research what kinds of feelings it included,when it apeered and how it changed.
Chapter Four：The contents of the“Sorrow Emotion”in Mei Tsun's poem which included four parts: be sad to the overthrow of Ming Dynasty, sentimentalize about his whole life, have pity for the suffered people, and anger the government officials who grafted and tyrannized people.
Chapter Five：The representation of the“Sorrow Emotion”in Mei Tsun's poem. This chapter mainly focus on the ways that how Mei Tsun represented his feelings of sorrow in poem.
Chapter Six：The narrative structure of the“Sorrow Emotion”in Mei Tsun's poem, which included the plot, the characteristics, the point of view, and the symbol.
