Summary:碩士 === 臺北巿立體育學院 === 運動教育研究所 === 94 === The purposes of this study are: (1) to realize the current situations of coaches’ leadership behaviors, team coherence and team members’ satisfaction among teenage rowing players in Taiwan; (2) to compare, by using selected variables, the differences detected among Taiwanese teenage rowing players in terms of their coaches’ leadership behaviors, team coherence and team members’ satisfaction; and (3) to explore the interacting relationship between the variables of coaches’ leadership behaviors, team coherence and team members’ satisfaction among teenage rowing players in Taiwan. This study utilizes the revised version of “Survey on Taiwanese Teenage Rowing Players’ Perceptions Toward Coaches’ Leadership Behaviors, Team Coherence and Team Members’ Satisfaction.” Items in this survey includes: (1) personal information; (2) scales of Taiwanese teenage rowing players’ perceptions toward their coaches’ leadership behaviors, with 5 dimensions respectively measuring coaches’ training and guidance behaviors, democratic behaviors, authoritarian behaviors, caring behaviors, and reward behaviors; (3) scales of Taiwanese teenage rowing players’ team coherence, which involves 4 dimensions, in team accordance, interpersonal affability, squad adaptability, and interpersonal fascination; (4) measures of Taiwanese teenage rowing players’ sense of satisfaction. The current research targets at Taiwanese teenage rowing players, recruited from 5 junior high schools, 10 senior high schools, with a total of 184 participants filling out 184 copies of questionnaires. Among them, 12 questionnaires are invalid, and 172 valid, with the recruiting rate of 93.48 %. Data collected are processed by the description of statistical results, t-Test of independence, One-Way ANOVA, Scheffe’s meta-analysis, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient, etc. The major conclusions reached in this study are presented as follows. (1) In terms of coaches’ leadership behaviors, Taiwanese teenage rowing players show higher acceptance toward coaches’ democratic behaviors than authoritarian behaviors. On the measurement of team coherence, a higher level of squad adaptability has been detected, with lowest scores on interpersonal fascination. As for the sense of satisfaction among the teenage rowing players, highest scores have been reported on that with coaches’ leadership behaviors, and lowest on individuals’ performances in competition. (2) Significant statistical differences regarding Taiwanese teenage rowing players’ perceptions toward their coaches’ leadership behaviors have been observed under the control of such variables as “year of school”, “studying in the class exclusively for students majoring in physical education (PE)”, “frequency of weekly training”, “time span getting along with coaches”, “achievement on sports competition”, and “academic achievement.” (3) In the dimension of team coherence among teenage rowing players in Taiwan, statistical significances have been detected under the manipulation of variables: “year of school”, “studying in the class exclusively for students majoring in physical education (PE)”, “frequency of weekly training”, “achievement on sports competition.” (4) Significant statistical differences regarding Taiwanese teenage rowing players’ sense of satisfaction have been shown under the control of such variables as “year of school”, “studying in the class exclusively for students majoring in physical education (PE)”, “frequency of weekly training”, and “achievement on sports competition.” (5) Teenage rowing players’ perceptions toward coaches’ leadership behaviors, team coherence and team members’ sense of satisfaction are positively related; team coherence and team members’ sense of satisfaction are also significantly correlated.
