Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 資訊經營學系(所) === 94 === Along with the popularization of mobile device, mobile phone has become an important part in our daily lives. At present, in Taiwan, almost everyone has one mobile phone, even more than one. If navigation service can be added into present equipments, then it could promote the practicality of mobile phone and the importance of navigation. Nowadays most of the navigation service is using touch panel machine, but it can only provide inquiry service at fixed position without portability, and it is difficult to keep the data up to date. In addition, PDA is used mainly in the navigation service of government organizations. Every customer has to fill out application at service center to borrow PDA. These equipments are provided by authorities, not to mention the cost of hardware and management must be increased. If mobile phone can be used to receive navigation service, it would reduced much cost for the provider, and the user can obtain information immediately, thereby beneficial to both sides. According to the survey of Sony Ericsson, which was the first to promote the Bluetooth products, the acceptance of Taiwan consumers on Bluetooth, which is a very new and high technology, is the first in Asia, and the third worldwide. In terms of Sony Ericsson, the sales of Bluetooth products have a growth rate of 30% as compared to last year. In year 2005, there is a 25-30% growth rate per month. Presently, it occupies 40% of the market, and 60-70% of their sales are the mobile phones with Bluetooth function built-in. Therefore, this research uses the Bluetooth protocol as transmission tool. Based on the undirectional nature of Bluetooth and its characteristic of no need to aim at straight line in transmitting data, the master device can transmit data to slave devices more accurately. This research actually constructs a Linux platform of broadcasting system. The main purpose of this transmission system is to uninterruptedly search for handheld Bluetooth devices, through comparison with log files, it will decide whether to transmit the newest version of program. In addition, navigation service uses the “platform independence” of Java features to develop the application program. Therefore our proposed broadcasting system can transmit the navigation service to surrounding mobile phones with Bluetooth built-in.
