| Summary: | 碩士 === 育達商業技術學院 === 企業管理所 === 94 === Taiwan industry structure has significant change due to the challenge of internationalization and the entering of WTO. As the impact of cheaper labor cost in South-East Asia and aggressive investments in China, traditional industries have loosing markets and competitiveness to move out abroad or close their factories. Traditional local industries could no longer maintain their advantages since lack of long-term planning and unique contents. Industrial transformation becomes critical for their survival.
Lately, there are lots of local characteristics activities launched by local governments in order to find a better way out to contribute to the development of local characteristic industries. Such as “Yilan International Children’s Folklore & Folkgame Festival”, “Changhua Flower Expo.”, “Tungkang Tuna Festival”, “Baihe Lotus Festival”, “Sanyi Wood-Carving Festival”. It is of great urgency that local characteristics industries should strive for their industrial transformation to maintain their competitiveness at this critical moment.
With the use of case study method, this research tries to review local characteristics industry through duckdiy in Sanyi to find out its history, present situation, and transformation process. And, how can local characteristics industry apply experience marketing strategies to create higher value-added as well.
