Summary: | 碩士 === 國立陽明大學 === 復健科技輔具研究所 === 94 === The quality standards for modern hearing aids focus on the specifications of electroacoustic characteristics. However, the speech quality is also very important after speech is processed by hearing aids, too. Most digital hearing aids are designed as nonlinear signal processing systems, and the consequence is that the electroacoustic measurements obtained using commercial hearing aid test systems may differ from those made with “real-life” signals, such as speech. As speech is the most important real-life signal for most hearing aid users, the quality evaluation of hearing aids using speech stimuli have been proposed in the study. We developed a testing system using mono-syllable Mandarin words as the test signals, and evaluated the hearing aid characteristics by extracting certain acoustic parameters related to phoneme distinguishability.
