Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 兵器系統工程研究所 === 95 === The Taguchi approach enables a comprehensive understanding of the individual and combined effects of various design parameters to be obtained from a minimum number of experimental trials. Using Taguchi method to do ballistic test experiments on Kevlar, this study find the best combination of factors for a better absorption of energy of the material. The control factors used in this study are: fabric geometry, temperature of cooking and compression values of shaping. With the use of larger the better signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio, when the analysis of variance (ANOVA) is conduct, the 1st phase experiments used an L8(27) orthogonal array to find a design parameter considered to be significant, if its influence on the design solution is large compared to the experimental error, and the 2nd phase used an L9(34) orthogonal array to get the optimal level factor combination. During the data analysis it was found a very important interaction between the temperature of cooking and the compression values of shaping, these interaction will be the guideline to decide which combination is the better.
