Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 機械工程所 === 95 === A new method is proposed in this thesis by arbitrarily adjusting the contact point, between two tooth flanks of the pinion and gear, to obtain the new results of tooth contact analysis (TCA) and machine settings as the dimensions of the tooth flanks are constant. The face-milling method is adopted by referring to Gleason HGM reference data for the machine process. The Generation Method is applied to the gear and the Modified Roll Method is applied to the pinion, respectively. The gear parameters are first given to calculate the pitch cones, tooth flanks and machine settings of the hypoid gears, and the mathematical model of the universal hypoid generator is cited to simulate the tooth cutting process. Further, the position of the contact point can be changed by modifying the pitch radius of the gear and the distance from pitch cone apex to crossing point of hypoid gear. Finally, the new results of the tooth contact analysis and machine settings can be obtained by repeating calculation.
