ERP system has already become a key competitive tool at global market, it brings managerial promotion and improvement of the competitiveness to enterprise, but it is an expensive investment. However, whether an enterprise can benefit from their ERP investment is depending on how they manage the risks effectively. The merger of ERP service providers inevitably influences on the risk management, cost and effects of ERP implementation. These effects make enterprises to change the risk control measures of ERP system. In order to obtain the greatest benefits from corporate ERP project investment, enterprise must find out about ERP project possible risk, and accurate assessing risks and effectively manage them must be clearly identified. The main purpose of this study is to explore risk factors of ERP projects, and analyze the order of priorities of these factors before and after ERP providers are merged. By collecting documents and feedback from experts, this study aims to address the risk assessment affecting enterprises ERP projects, questionnaires are carried out to the personnel of the case company through fuzzy analytical hierarchy process, the significance of risk factors for ERP project are rearranged to match the merge of ERP providers. Some divergence is found on the significance of the risk factors among different professional personnel, it indicates that different professions have different concepts of risks and ways to manage them. The priority shift of these factors before and after the merger of ERP providers are listed in the results, it offers enterprises to accurate assessing ERP project risk and manage risk, also help enterprises to prevent and revise the measure, it will avoid the failure of the project because of the leading personnel of project of different professional backgrounds make the wrong judgment by subjective consciousness.
