Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 95 === Nowadays RFID technologies have been applied in daily life. In the applications, privacy infringement is always a concern due to easy access to data stored in the RFID tag. Current solutions to this problem either demand extra cost or create systems that are less convenient for users. This research applies a special technique that splits an identification code into a secret password and a substitution code. This technique is called “Partition and Recovery of a Verifiable Secret”. The identification code of a library collection such as a book is now replaced by a substitution code and cannot be recovered except a correct password is provided by an authorized user. As a consequence, privacy of library users is better protected. This thesis provides the procedural flows for implementing a library application system based on the method described above. The solution is less costly but achieves better privacy protection. The inconvenience due to password entry can be overcome through user-friendly interface design.
