Description
Summary:博士 === 中原大學 === 工業工程研究所 === 95 === The pursuit of quality is a constant and dominant theme in business management, in particular in management of new product development (NPD) deemed the most important process for a company to create customer value. The methodology of “quality function deployment” (QFD) is viewed as one of the few management technologies that could have a significant quality improvement impact throughout a company’s NPD cycle. In view of QFD must evolve into an “integral quality assurance architecture” (IQAA) that can be implemented concurrently with NPD cycle, rather than exist as a mere series of matrices, this study, based on the concept of broadly defined QFD, develops a so-called “expanded QFD” (EQFD) system. There are eight major differences between EQFD system and the original QFD which can be used to reinforce the quality designing-in methods of the original QFD and can effectively support the corporate NPD cycle. In addition, the implementation process of EQFD is developed by taking the NPD approach of electronic contract manufacturing (ECM) companies for instance which includes four stages, eight phases and 36 steps. This study uses an illustrative example of the development of “multilayer printed circuit boards” (PCB) to demonstrate the applicability of EQFD.
