碩士 === 中原大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 95 === For largely upgrading the reliability of distribution system, the outage time of distribution feeder should be largely reduced by applying the automation of distribution feeder. thus, to develop the automation of distribution feeder is an inevitable tendency in utility distribution system or/and the large automation distribution system, in which the distribution system operation situations are supervised and controlled by the remote control center. When implementing the automation of distribution feeder, the automation line switches should be applied on the distribution feeders. These automatic line switches can communicate with control center through the communication system. With distribution automation system, the reliability of power supply can be enhanced and customers will be more satisfactory. Automatic line switches on distribution feeders provide the functions of remote control and supervision, which can not be done by conventional line switches. The control center can analyze and integrate the data transmitted by automatic line switches, so automatic line switch is the key element for the automation of distribution system. In this report, the basic functions of automatic line switches are discussed and their benefit is evaluated.
