When implementing the automation of distribution feeder, the automation line switches should be applied on the distribution feeders. These automatic line switches can communicate with control center through the communication system. With distribution automation system, the reliability of power supply can be enhanced and customers will be more satisfactory. Automatic line switches on distribution feeders provide the functions of remote control and supervision, which can not be done by conventional line switches. The control center can analyze and integrate the data transmitted by automatic line switches, so automatic line switch is the key element for the automation of distribution system.
