Description
Summary:碩士 === 清雲科技大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 95 === Interlaced scan TV programs should be de-interlaced before showing on the progressive scan TV. A film detection motion adaptive de-interlacing algorithm is proposed in this thesis, which is capable to process both normal mode and film mode videos. Three consecutive fields are used by motion detector and 3 : 2 Pull Down Detector to classify video area into stationary and motion categories, and then perform suitable de-interlacing method for different category. The proposed method is applied to normal moving or static object, for fast moving object, spatial interpolation method is used, and for stationary object, temporal interpolation method is used. In addition, the 3 : 2 Pull Down Recovery method is performed to Film mode. We use Verilog HDL to develop the hardware architecture of the proposed algorithm and implemented in a FPGA. We then compare the proposed method with several other de-interlacing methods.
