An exhaust gas tester of HORIBA MEXA- 554JA has been used to test motorcycle pinpoint pollution of emission test, to analyze any difference among CO, HC and CO2 of exhaust gas quantities under both steady-state and transient conditions, and to discuss the effect of pollution emission on the different types of engine and motorcycle. There are five types of motorcycle have been simulated individually such as (1) short time area riding, (2) urban area riding, (3) general area riding while longer time, (4) riding in the both suburban and urban area, and (5) riding in the both suburban and urban area while steady-state longer time. The result of research has shown that CO, HC and CO2 concentration of 2T carburetor engine has significantly higher than that of 4T carburetor engine. Under consideration of air pollution emission (ignoring gasoline consumption efficiency), five types of operation state have shown that the steady-state of 4T carburetor engine etc. can eliminate from CO and CO2 emission, but HC emission can be increased; the steady-state of 2T carburetor engine etc. can significantly lower down CO, HC and CO2 emission. In addition, all of five types of operation state have shown no matter how long riding has spent that doesn’t change any tendency from the above-mentioned statement.
