A Study on Teachers’Belief of Art Gifted Programs
at Elementary Schools in Yilan County
This study is to explore teachers’belief of art gifted programs at elementary schools in Yilan County,find teaching hard-pressed,and examine oneself carefully to play a role in Art-gifted education . Drawing concrete suggestions upon the research result, the researcher wishes them to be a point of teachers’view to go deep into the reason of the present situation,and to be useful reference for related government authorities in developing and assisting art gifted education in elementary schools.
Elementary schools’ teachers not only are the first line of teaching staff, but also the important roles for a long-range program in a nation. In the situation of school education, teachers must evaluate carefully how to use their faith and teaching behavior to interact with students.
This research utilized the methodology of “interview,”investigating teachers’belief of art-gifted class in Yilan County. The interview samples were randomly selected from the valid samples, 3 teachers out of art-gifted class in A elementary school
and 2 teachers out of art-gifted class in B elementary school, totally 5 teachers were picked in Yilan County .
The results are as followed:
1. Reference to teachers’ faith and teaching behavior.
2. Reference to the main pressure of teachersf of art-gifted class at primary schools in Yilan County, and the reason why they are stay here.
3.The teachers and parents of art-gifted class in Yilan County attach importance to students’achievemsnts.
Teachers’belief of the study include teaching style,course design,teacher role,thinking of students and parent. According to the research discussion and result, the researcher proposed some suggestions to schools, parents, educational administrators, teacher training institutions, governmental culture sections and further researchers.
