However, most TV channels arrange the programs according to previous rating data or the rating report of AC Nielsen and few of the TV channels directly investigate the rating habit from rating audience. Therefore, this will cause the program schedule can’t satisfy what audience really want to see and then the rating can’t achieve the expectation. In this research, we will use the questionary to find out what time and what type of the movies for the movie channel of the cable television will attract current audience. Besides, we will use the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm to design an optimum program schedule. Finally, we will build up a model to estimate the dialed utility and then to examine the utility of the algorithm in this research. Moreover, we will compare the utility of our research with that of program schedule of television station and give some conclusion and suggestion as the reference for the following research in future. According to the experiment result in this research, the rating utility will rise, average 7.5698%, in the same movies as HBO by using the questionary to find out the time and the type of movies that will attract the audience and using the algorithm of this research to rearrange the program schedule. After rising the utility, the program schedule will more conform to the preference of audience and then rise the rating of the television station.
