With the changing global trading environment and rise of economy in Mainland China, the global trading landscape was redefined and rearranged without a doubt. The survivals of Taiwan export trading companies faced serious challenges never before. Hence, how Taiwan export trading companies break through their traditional roles, create additional values, and then alleviate corporate competitiveness, became the research topic. Through verification and study of theories and practical cases, this research wishes to provide specific and feasible recommendations for Taiwan export trading companies who are breaking moving away from their current situation and implementing corporate change upgrade as goals. This research is conducted with case study research method by studying a case company that had successfully shifted itself away from the role of agent in traditional export trading and effectively relocated and included itself in one of the key elements of industry value chain. By using Porter’s five forces analysis and SWOT analysis theories to delve into industry environment and competitiveness, and then through the concept of supply chain management and value chain analysis, this research studied the strategic development and business model of the case company and derived the blue print of competitive strategic development. After joining the WTO, the industries in Taiwan faced a new wave of challenge to transform and upgrade. In order for corporations to improve competitiveness internationally, product innovation and service differentiation have turned into key factors in corporate expansion. To quickly react to market and customer demand, provide redesigned products and more services, reduce unnecessary costs, and create more added values, companies must reinforce the ability of resource integration with the use of information technology and work with other firms scattered around the world through collaborative commerce to recreate new value chain and at the same time, bring more profit.
