The correlations of hospital infection control knowledge and precautions behavior among hospital housekeepers

碩士 === 弘光科技大學 === 護理研究所 === 95 === Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore knowledge and behaviour about infection control. The participants in this study were hospital housekeepers worked in hospital. Data were collected using structure questionnaires. 169 participants were cleaners and came from Chang-Hua County-City hospital. 169 participants finished the questionnaires. The total questionnaire return rate during May to March of 2007 was 100%.Carries on hospital housekeepers personnel's demography, the service of current conditions to infection control precaution knowledge and the data collection of the precaution behavior . The effect of the questionnaire adopts the expert the content effect, the expert's whole grade point over 4. points. The CVI value lies are in 71.4~100%, the conten . t effect that belong to apply. The confidence of the questionnaire adopts the conten t consistency examination α-value (Cronbach's Alpha) is 0.71. Analysis with SPSS 10.0.The results indicated：（1）the average score of the correct answers to the questions of knowledge about infection control was 11.85 points and correct responses rate is 79%；（2）the average score of the correct answers to the questions of behaviour about infection control was 56.8 points；（3） Demographyand current service conditions of these housekeepers worked in hospitalwere no significantly associated with score of knowledge about infection control；（4）marriage were significantly associated with score of behaviour about infection control；（5）no significant relationship between the score of knowledge and behaviour about infection control. The results of this study can help managementof medical institution to understand knowledge and behaviour about infection control of these housekeepers accurately and design a training course about infection control for housekeepers worked in medical institution adequately.
