Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士班 === 95 === Bluetooth is a wireless, short-range, low-cost communication technology. Moreover, most of the Bluetooth devices are portable and the multicast is an efficient way of distributing a data packet to a group of receivers. Thus, we propose a general core-based tree (GCBT) for realizing the multicast mechanism in a dynamic Bluetooth network. The GCBT scheme constructs a multi-source multicast tree based on the core-based tree concept and deals with the node mobility and group management to ensure that the multicast tree can be dynamically maintained well. Moreover, we analyze a simplified system that may adopt either the flooding or the GCBT. We develop a system model to observe the network size, route length, core loading and lifetime, transmission delay against to the number of nodes and packet arrival rate. The results of system analysis show that the GCBT tree has a smaller tree depth and shorter transmission delay. However, the traffic loading at the core node is heavy and the lifetime of the core may be short. The ongoing study may include investigating the performance of the irregular multicast tree.
