A questionnaire was designed to collect data according to literature review including books, journals and thesis relating to personality traits, organizational culture and work performance. The subjects were the employees of international tourist hotels in Kaohsiung city. Four international tourist hotels were selected by convenient sampling and 100 questionnaires were sent to each of them so total was 400. 320 were returned so the returned rate was 80%. After deducting 5 invalid questionnaires, the number of total valid questionnaires was 315 and the valid returned rate was 78.75%. The contents of the questionnaire include personal information, personality traits, organizational culture and work performance. Data analysis methods include descriptive statistics, factor analysis, one way ANOVA and regression by SPSS. The results show that different background of the subjects such as gender, age, education, seniority, post and income may significantly influence the perceived personality traits, organizational culture and work performance, personality traits may significantly influence perceived work performance, for instances, positive type may tend to efficacy-oriented and positive type or cooperative type may tend to efficiency-oriented, organizational culture may significantly influence perceived work performance, for instances, creative type or authoritative type may tend to efficacy-oriented but high pressure type may tend to efficiency-oriented, and personality traits may significantly influence perceived organizational culture, for instances, conservative type or positive type is significantly related to both creative culture and authoritative culture.
