The studied case was happened in 2005, BASF’s acquisition of Merck electronic chemicals Ltd., effective May 1, 2006, BASF Electronic Materials Taiwan Ltd. became the new name of the former Merck electronic chemicals Ltd.(Taiwan). While expecting synergy of acquisitions, the merger syndrome and post-acquisition integration issue followed, resulted in job insecurity, further affected organizational commitment, and even more, enhanced intention to quit and less competitiveness of the company. This research uses statistical analysis to treat about the relation of individual attribute, job security, organizational commitment and intention to quit after company acquisition. The major findings are: (1) After company acquisition, employee shows job security(including low “operational factor change of insecurity”, “change of job itself insecurity”, and slightly low powerlessness), high “organizational commitment” and low “intention to quit”; (2)“organizational commitment” and “intention to quit”are reversely correlative; (3)“individual attribute”and “job insecurity”are correlative; (4) “individual attribute” and “organizational commitment” are partially correlative; (5)“individual attribute”and “intention to quit” are partially correlative; (6)“job insecurity” and “organizational commitment”are zero correlative; (7)“job insecurity” and “individual attribute”are zero correlative.
