The study also seeks to explore how the information-technology-assisted management of knowledge affects the knowledge management performance. The structure and hypothesis of this research were developed based on a thorough literature review before the carefully designed questionnaires were distributed to the domestic high-tech businesses, the subjects of the study. The retrieved questionnaires had been put through the regression analysis and multi-regression analysis. 1,000 questionnaires were distributed while 242 samples were retrieved. This study uses multi-regression analysis to test the structure and hypothesis of this research. The findings are as the following: 1. Application of information technology to conduct market-oriented cross-functional integration will enhance the quality of knowledge. 2. Through the factors attributing to the influences of information technology on knowledge management activities, information technology and organizational learning strengthen the acquisition and creation of knowledge. The information technology is positively related to the profundity of knowledge, but the effect is insignificant. The market orientation can upgrade the degree of knowledge profundity. The human capital is positively related to knowledge storage but the effect is insignificant. The information technology and the mutual trust amongst colleagues can certainly galvanize the general knowledge sharing activities in the organization, but the encouragement and reward program does not have much impact on the general knowledge sharing activities. 3. As knowledge management activities are introduced to an enterprise, coordinating departments should reach a consensus in building knowledge-sharing organizational culture and encouraging members of the organization to provide individual information in order to strengthen the real effect of activities. In addition, enterprises should also take advantage of information technology to process the internal and external data as it enhances the value of the enterprise and the quality of knowledge.
