碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 經濟學系碩士在職專班 === 95 === For the time being, COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS is still held under the status of academic theory, without a complete system of scientific theroy up to now. Based on the extensive viewpoint, Cooperative Economics should be categorized as a special theoreitic economics in the system of economics, but it is regarded as “COOPERATION WITHOUT THEORY” by plenty of people who are not the members of the cooperative organization currently. It is even considered that to carry out the COOPERATIVE SOCIETY does not require the foundation of theory. This argument is deficient more or less in deliberation. Due to this fact, this is a research on the Loutongsun’s COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS SCIENCE, in anticipation of combining the theory and practice, and solving the non-economist’s puzzlement resulting from the Cooperative Economy. Principally, I made use of the composite method which includes science and philosophy to conduct the research, accompanied with the historical analysis, comparative study and systematic study, which is helpful in making comparison and conducting analysis, and also inclusive of the requirements of rationality, integration and thorough understanding. The major result of my research is: 1.) Loutongsun’s Cooperative Economics places importance on the concept of morality, and uphold the moral economy. Under the climate of “benefit-important, justice-unimportant”, human beings show the interlocked feeling, which is not only good to the other people, but also good to themselves, and is helpful in the development of economy and the enhancement of morality. 2.) Western philosophers uphold interlocking, whereas the Chinese Confucianists advocated selfhood. Confucius upheld benevolence, Mencius upholds justice, Shuncius contended group. Benevolence, Justice and Sociality are most made account of by Loutongsun in his Cooperative Economics, and are also the genuine content therein. 3.) The establishment and augment of Loutongsun’s Cooperative Economics reply on the further progress in the education of COOPERATION. Although the effect of education is positive, it is gradual. Regretfully, the domestic scholars sticking to the Capitalism are greater in population. Owing to free competition, the Cooperative Economics goes into recession step by step. 4.) Facing the trend of Capitalism, Cooperative Society is a noble dream, but is not easy or impossible to be realized. Cooperative organization will not be the unique type of enterprise, but it will still be one of the enterprise types. Certainly, it can be kept surviving in the society, and hopefully the concept of COOPERATION can be fused into various enterprises. 5.) We call on the economists to lay aside the prejudice, banishing the indifference or even the opposing attitude, to view the Cooperative Economics as part of the theoretical economics, and assist the academic community in achieving the field of Cooperative Economics. In the future, our Cooperative Economists should persist on the highest principle of guidance, “NEVER RENOUNCE”.
